behind the future of
We’ve brought together the best and brightest minds in travel technology to bring you the best and brightest business travel solution: TapTrip.
Our team of tech wizards squeeze every last drop of goodness out of every single line of code to develop the smoothest, most streamlined experience possible. Having helped build some of the world’s biggest travel companies out there, they now make up the TapTrip team: the brains (and the beauty) behind the future of corporate travel.
Our team is based in Manchester (and proud of it!), but our solutions (and our thinking) are global — after all, with TapTrip in hand, the world is our oyster.
Powered by a love for technology and a passion for travel (and a hell of a lot of caffeine, too – we’re only human!), we do clever things with code to give you a platform that makes A to B hassle free. Smooth, simple and streamlined.
It’s travel tech, but not as you know it.
Meet the TapTrip tech-heads
Co-Founder & CEO
"Give first. Be a helpful person. Don’t expect things in return. Just give first to the people around you."
When not running the day-to-day operations across finance and product, TapTrip’s Chief Executive Officer, Thomas Young is cultivating team culture, raising investment, managing stakeholder relations and building the ‘right’ team to execute a shared vision – phew!
From a young age Tom was heavily invested in the world of startups, by the age of 20 he’d raised over £400k in investment from Techstars and Virgin Media and was the proud owner of two startups, one which was acquired by Unipart Group. Six years on, Tom raised over £2.5 million for his third startup, TapTrip.
Previously product manager at Booking.com, Tom knows a thing or two about building customer-centric products and services, especially those within the travel industry. And with a multitude of travel accolades, including Phocuswright Young Travel Leaders under 35 for 2019 and Young Travel Entrepreneur under 35 of The Year Finalist, it’s safe to say that travel is Tom’s bag.
Building a business that is changing the face of the travel industry is what gets Tom up in the morning and connecting people around the world through culture, language, food and experiences is the end goal.
